M&R RANCH – PERFORMANCE HORSES OF GEORGIA

RIDING LESSONS ENGLISH AND WESTERN

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND DAY CAMP

(912) 858-3849

M&R Ranch is open seven days a week and offers group and private riding lessons, English and Western.  We also offer horseback riding birthday parties and Day Camp. We are located at 343 Old Mill Creek Road, Ellabell, Georgia just outside of Pembroke, Georgia centrally located near the beautiful Historic District of Savannah as well as Richmond Hill, Statesboro, Pooler, Rincon and Springfield.

At M&R Ranch all horses were born here at the stables with foal imprinting (see “Maria’s Blog” page for this discussion) and raised in a loving environment so children and adults alike would feel comfortable and safe around them.  The horses were trained at a young age to be “bombproof” and to endure all situations that may arise.  All horses have their own unique characters and can really be enjoyed fully when seen at the ranch.

With this philosophy in mind, Maria Pruden, the owner of M&R Ranch who has 40 years experience in the horse industry wanted to incorporate the same theory of teaching children and adults horseback riding lessons, not only the basics of riding English and Western but also the whole equestrian picture of ground work, the anatomy of the horse, grooming, how to saddle a horse English and Western, the upkeep of a horse, barn management, how to care for a horse, safety  precautions of riding and being around a horse, helmets, and chest protectors.

Welcome our newest member to the family

Kassie was born and raised in Newnan, Georgia.  She is a graduate from Auburn University.  She is married to Zach and they will be married 3 years June 2014. Kassie is also a licensed RE/MAX Realtor & has always continued riding as a hobby. Kassie has ridden horses since she was 7 years old.  Her riding was most influenced by her first horse she owned Kiss Me Quick "DJ" who was a veteran in the show ring and taught her about riding, showing, loving, and selflessness. Kassie showed and competed competitively as Junior in the GHJA circuit under the instruction of Suzanne Jones at Meadow Wood Farm in Newnan, GA.  When she went to college she came on as the associate trainer at H&G Horse Quarters in Auburn, AL. She fell in love with teaching others how to ride and received extensive experience and knowledge on barn management and horse show management during her 3 years at H&G.

Kassie's ability to teach, communicate and interact with riders of all ages benefits the lesson program.  She teaches beginners up to advanced level riders.  She creates a positive style of teaching and focuses on the basic principles of riding and horsemanship, which has benefited her students as they progress.  Kassie enjoys providing instruction and a positive atmosphere for both horse and rider.
